Privacy Policy

Lo-Fi Labs Inc. (“we”) operates the app Cat's Study Room (the “App”) and handles your personal information as follows, in line with Korea's Personal Information Protection Act. This is a translation; if it differs from the Korean original, the Korean version prevails unless mandatory law says otherwise.
1. What we process and why

We don't collect precise location, contacts, photos or files, or payment information (the App has no paid purchases). Notifications are scheduled on your device, and the current version does not send error reports anywhere.
2. What friends can see
The App has no boards, posts, comments, chat, messages or photo uploads. The friends feature lets you connect by ID and shows each other only the fixed information below.
- Anyone who knows your ID: your name, ID and your dressed-up cat
- Friends: your room theme and decorations
- Depending on your visibility setting (Everyone · Friends · Only me): whether you're focusing and for how long, the category (or task title), today's and this week's focus time, and your streak
The default is “Friends”, and you can change it any time in settings. Your task list, resolution, “one line about today” and coins are never shown to anyone. You can remove or block a friend at any time.
3. Retention and deletion
- Account and usage records: until you delete your account, then deleted immediately (including items you deleted in the App).
- Detailed focus events: details are cleared after 365 days.
- Support emails: 1 year after the inquiry is closed. Access logs: deleted automatically after our server provider's short retention period.
- Anonymous accounts are not deleted from the server when you delete the App, so please delete your account first.
Deleted data is erased so it can't be recovered; backup copies are overwritten on the backup cycle.
4. Sharing, processors and transfers abroad
We don't sell your personal information or give it to third parties (except where the law requires). The companies below process data for the service, which involves transfers outside Korea.

Data is sent over an encrypted network when you use the App or load an ad. If you don't want it transferred, you can delete your account (the server transfer is essential to the service). You can opt out of personalized ads as described in section 5. Social sign-in is also covered by the policies of Google, Apple and Kakao.
5. Personalized ads and opting out
- The App shows banner ads, and rewarded ads you watch only when you choose to. Your focus records and tasks are never used for ads.
- iOS: if you don't allow tracking, we request only non-personalized ads (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
- Android: delete or reset your advertising ID in Settings > Google > Ads.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: choose in Google's consent form shown before your first ad. We and this website don't use cookies.
6. Your rights
- View and edit your records in the App, and export them with Account tab > Export records (CSV).
- Delete everything immediately with [Delete account] at the bottom of the Account tab (how).
- You can also email us to access, correct, delete or restrict your data; we'll respond within 10 days after verifying it's you. Users in the EEA, UK and Türkiye may also complain to their local data protection authority.
7. Children under 14
The App is not directed at children under 14. If we learn we hold such a child's information, we delete it without delay. Parents or guardians can ask us by email.
8. Security
Encrypted connections (HTTPS), database rules that let each user access only their own data, and minimal admin access. We never receive your passwords.

10. Changes
We'll post changes on this page 7 days before they take effect (30 days for significant changes).
