Terms of Service

These Terms set the conditions for using the app Cat's Study Room (the “App”) provided by Lo-Fi Labs Inc. (“we”). By using the App, you agree to them. This is a translation; if it differs from the Korean original, the Korean version prevails unless mandatory law says otherwise.

1. The service

The App offers a focus timer, records and stats, task planning, room and cat decoration, background sounds and a friends feature for free, and needs an internet connection. The App has no boards, posts, comments, chat, messages or photo uploads. We may change or pause features when needed and will announce important changes in advance.

2. Accounts

Starting without signing in creates an anonymous account; if you delete the App or change devices, its records can't be recovered. To keep them, link a Google, Apple or Kakao account. Don't use anyone else's account.

3. Coins and items

Coins are earned only through check-ins, goals, streaks and rewarded ads you choose to watch, and cannot be bought. Coins and items are licenses for use inside the App with no cash value; they can't be exchanged for money, refunded or transferred. How they're earned is shown in the App and may change. We may take back coins or items obtained improperly, and all of them are lost when you delete your account.

4. Ads

The App shows banner ads and rewarded ads. You watch rewarded ads only when you want to; rewards are granted when you watch to the end and it's recorded, with a daily limit. Advertisers are responsible for their ads.

5. Friends

You become friends when you send a request by ID and the other person accepts. Friends see only your name, ID, dressed-up cat and room, plus your focus status and records according to the visibility you choose (Everyone · Friends · Only me). You can remove or block a friend at any time. Names or IDs that are offensive or impersonate others are not allowed, and we may change them or restrict use.

6. Prohibited conduct

If you break these rules, we may take back coins or items, restrict use or delete your account. You can object by email.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account any time with [Delete account] at the bottom of the Account tab; your account, records, coins and items are deleted immediately and can't be restored. If you can't use the App, ask us by email.

8. Rights

Rights to the App's artwork, characters, text, sounds and software belong to us or their rightful owners. Tasks, resolutions and other text you write belong to you, and we use them only to provide the service.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided free and as is. We aren't liable for causes beyond our control, such as disasters, network failures or device settings (notifications off, power saving, clock changes), or for records lost by deleting the App on an anonymous account. This doesn't apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence.

10. Changes and governing law

We'll announce changes to these Terms 7 days before they take effect (30 days if unfavorable to you); if you disagree, you can delete your account. We'll give 30 days' notice before ending the service. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes go to the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. Consumers abroad keep the rights given by the mandatory laws of their country.

Addendum: these Terms take effect on September 28, 2026.
